Pearsall's has been established since 1795 as manufacturers and merchants of fine silks for embroidery knitting and sewing purposes. Some of Pearsall's silk threads and flosses have been used since the eighteenth century for needlework eastern-embroidery and ecclesiastical vestments. Pearsall's have retained and re-introduced the original name "filoselle" reproducing the same silk constructions and replicating the colours that have been used in embroidery for over 200 years. Pearsalls silk comes in 6 ply 4 metre skeins and is the ultimate in quality and luxury.
